There is no replacement for discipline.
If there is anything I have learned over the past couple years, as the world has navigated its challenges is that discipline rules over most things.
When T.S. Elliot wrote “The Wasteland” he spoke about a generation of people dealing with the tragedy of war and human failure within the concept of relationships and building connections with common people.
The past couple years have also been a sort of wasteland in that regard, if can borrow T.S. Elliot’s perspective. To some degree, the idea of a wasteland chose the sentiments of the biblical story of Egyptians as they moved from enslavement and wandering the desert into their promised land. We are another generation of human beings doing our sort of wandering.
Whether you find the biblical story true or just a story is not the point, but the point is we are all lost or seemingly lost in whirlwind of questions about what the reality we currently are experiencing.
